What positional training teaches

A good positional move may develop a piece, improve king safety, prepare a pawn break, or change an unfavorable trade. You have to compare plans, not just calculate checks and captures.

Make Good Moves accepts multiple strong plans when the analysis supports them. In the main trainer these positions arrive mixed with tactics and Critical Moves, so you must decide which kind of move the board calls for.

You will not be told what comes next.

In the main trainer, tactical, positional, and Critical Move positions are mixed together. Read each board, decide what it needs, and play the idea through. Five positions per session; no account required to start.
